How to fix a pulled thread.

What you can fix at home, and when to bring the garment to our repair desk.

Fix a pulled loop early, before it catches again and opens a larger hole.

Start small

A loose button, open seam or pulled knit loop is easiest to fix before it becomes a larger failure. Set the piece aside, resist cutting loose yarn and bring it in if you are unsure.

Many small repairs take less than twenty minutes and leave almost no visible trace.

When to call a specialist

Waxed cotton, dense knitwear and damaged cuffs need tools and experience that most home kits do not provide. Our repair desk assesses the piece first and sends specialist work to the right local partner.
